NEURODIVERGENT EDUCATION SERIES

The Neurodiversity Education Series features a lineup of renowned experts, including educators, mental health professionals, and advocates specializing in neurodiversity. It provides families with valuable insights and tools to better support neurodivergent learners, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and more.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

How can we build safe and accepting communities for neurodivergent, gender expansive, and non-binary youth?

Even with increasing visibility in the community, LGBTQIA+ youth still face higher rates of bullying, suicide, depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, and housing insecurity.

In this Neurodiversity Education Series event, Anthony Ross, LMFT, psychotherapist and health educator, and Emily Swanson, LMFT, autistic therapist, will suggest ways to talk with your neurodivergent kids about gender and sexuality.

Whether your child identifies as gender expansive, LGBTQIA+, or you would like to educate yourself about gender and sexual identity, this conversation is for you!

Anthony Ross, LMFT, is a gay and queer transman with 25+ years of experience providing support to youth exploring gender and sexuality. Emily "em" Swanson, LMFT, is a queer, nonbinary, and autistic therapist, parent coach and group facilitator serving California.
